CFI Marketing Efforts Remain Strong Despite Nation’s Uncertain Economy

Posted 10/26/2007 in General by Krista Weaver

“We’ve nearly doubled our show spending this year between Medica, RSNA, and the small shows where we exhibit plus the shows we just attend,” says CFI sales and marketing coordinator John Lochner.

Business experts like Tom Peters say this approach is the way to go, “Each day, new competitors emerge, new technologies arrive, product life cycles shrink anew” and the companies who continue to market themselves in down times are the ones who capture the largest share of mind when the market turns around. In other words, buyers best remember those companies names and products who continue to stay visible and in touch, and these buyers are most likely to remain loyal purchasers for the future.

It’s this outlook that keeps CFI’s growth healthy and strong.

2007 is the first time CFI hosts a display booth at the German radiology show Medica, it’s the fifth consecutive year at the Radiology Society of North America’s blockbuster tradeshow at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

“A lot of preparation goes into these shows,” says Lochner.  “We start working on our booth layout and strategy as early as May, and work continuously up through show time.  This is our first year at Medica, so a lot of effort is required to make sure we effectively display our wide range of products and capabilities.”

Among the products slated to be at Medica are many of CFI’s standards such as disposable equipment covers and drapes, diagnostic imaging positioning aids, carbon fiber products, and compression formed products.

The RSNA display more strongly focuses on capabilities and technology.

“We’re especially excited to show off the work of our carbon fiber department at this year’s RSNA show,” adds Lochner. “CFI’s carbon fiber team has developed a full-size table top that displays their manufacturing skills with composites beautifully. We expect it will be a big hit with the attendees and lead to some promising OEM business.”

CFI has been CE marked for many years. The mark enables the sale of its products in the European market so, according to Lochner, the focus for Medica is to find international distributors for disposables like equipment covers and drapes.

He adds, the focus at the RSNA is on cultivating new OEM relationships, growing existing relationships, and mixing with radiologists and technologists who are an outstanding resource from an end-user standpoint.

As a show of appreciation for stopping by the CFI booth at the RSNA, visitors are entered into a drawing for and LCD television and if that is not a sign of good times to come, what is?

Be sure to visit CFI in BOOTH 1406 at the RSNA between November 25th through the 30th and you can also check out the following: The Shield, urology stand with compression formed table top and urology drain bag, compression formed coils, equipment covers and drapes, Contour Glide Ultrasound Transducer Covers, The Sunrise Extender and the MedVac Infant Immobilization Bag.
